Music In Africa Foundation and KUMISA partner to facilitate the KZN leg of the Revenue Streams for African Musicians (RSFAM) workshops.
KUMISA hosted the KZN leg of the Music In Africa Foundation's series of capacity-building workshops for practising musicians as part of the Revenue Streams for African Musicians (RSFAM) project on the 11th of March 2022.
A report released by the Music In Africa Foundation, Revenue Streams for Music Creators in South Africa, examines the revenue streams that musicians in the South African music industry can draw upon. According to the MIAF, the report is the first of its kind in the country. The report encompasses all nine provinces of South Africa and was compiled from information supplied by some 3 000 musicians from different genres, communities, and geographical and social areas.
Moreover, the study is part of the broader Revenue Streams for African Musicians (RSFAM) project aimed at empowering African musicians with the information and tools to earn more income from their performances.
